When I was swimming OMG years ago (and this is competitive swimming) I use a special shampoo and conditioner to get the clorien out of my hair. I lightened it and was in the pool up to 6 hours a day. I also heard that putting cheap conditioner on your hair, under you swimcap, would protect it.I need a scuba project, what can I do?? TONS OF CREDIT FOR A GOOD ANSWER!!?
It depends if the water has a lot of chlorine. If I was you I was you I would were a swim cap. So it will help keep the water out. It shouldn't turn green. And one more thing I wouldn't try to stay in the water for a long time. Trust me I know I am in the swim team and I swim everyday.How do i get water out of my ears?

If your natural hair color is darker than blonde, you should be fine..I've only seen people with natural blonde hair get it to become green (and I was one of them) .. If you are worried, get a good cholorine out shampoo..Would waterpolo gain in quality if fins were introduced?
