Americans vs. Aussies Who will when Duel in the Pool??
Question:Americans dominated the first 2 Duel in the pool events. Both were held on american soil. This year it is held in Sydney Australia, do the Australians dethrone the Americans or will the Americans stand tall at the top of the swimming world.

Well the medal count at the Fina world campionships is about 2:1 America... so the odds are not good for Australia, however, if teh American relay team keeps starting as they have done in the most recent event.. Australia should capture all of those medals by default !What? The Men's 4x100 Medley Relay? Go Australia.

I'm Australian but the Americans have performed very well at this meet. Australia are having problems in events it was thought we would be successful in. These two nations always have a strong sense of competition and one always dominates as the other takes on the rebuilding process. I think they are great swimming nations and I don't get all caught up in the who is a better nation stuff too much. A good swim or champion should be appreciated and acknowledged, which ever nation they are from. With that said I am very proud of our history in the sport and will always support our swimmers and we still have in my opinion, the greatest distance swimmer the world has seen in Grant Hackett. So good luck to both. These swimmers work very hard for their results and no one can win all the time.How do you get water out of your ear from swimming?
One thing Australia will appreciate good sportsmanship and know that whoever wins they have worked hard.It is great to see all those kids that reap the rewards for all those early mornings I think the Americans will win the mens medals and Australia the women's.Also there is 200million of you and only 20 million of us so we are doing pretty well per head of population.One thing could Americans please get behind your whole team they are doing a great job downunder.What do you think of this new way of teaching kids to swim?
I think the US has a very strong team and i think they will win. They did very well against Australia in the world championships on Australian surface. PS.the US has 300 million people and population ratio is irrelevant because the US doesnt just dominate in one thing. We dominate about 85 percent of the sporting world,top the movie music and entertainment industy, lead the world with billionaires who own major global corporatation, having the worlds leading reasearchers iventors and innovators of the past 100 years and have atleast 3 times as many nobel prize winners than any other country in the world. While swimming is one of australias main sports, its only about the 10th most watched and participated sport in america.More Questions & Answers...
