Why does my water aerobics class have mostly senior citizens?
I am the only person under fifty in my morning water aerobics class. Why? The rest of the pool has younger people swimming laps. Don't they want to join in the exercise?

I am 33 and turned to water aerobics to tone up and lose weight without killing myself on land. The water is ideal with 12x resistance and 90% less gravity (assuming your head is out of the water). I struggled with finding a challenging enough routine as the one instructed in my area was not hard enough. I bought 2 different water aerobics books off of Amazon.com and typed up the names in a plan and laminated it with a kit from walmart. Now I have a MWF full cardio plan and a T/TH stretching toning plan that I can clip to my suit to help me remember. I work out for about 70 minutes every day. I have not been in pain from my bulging back discs and have noticed a def. improvement in muscles and flexiblilty. I am also losing more weight. Encourage others that aren't elderly!
