Knee problem when swimming the breast stroke?
Question:Hi! I have a problem with one knee when I do the breast stroke. It is very annoying because I like swimming. It feels like the knee is instable with a slight amout of pain.
What could it be?
Is it worth going to the doc about?
Is it best to avoid the breast stroke or do more to train the knee muscles?
Thanks.
Answers:
It could be anything from a torn ACL or meniscus to a sprain or strain. You should DEF go see a doctor and avoid breast until you do.
Good luck!
Do Olympic divers practice diving in the off-season by dumpster diving?
it could b a bad sprainmy suggestion stay away from breast and try stretching it out
if the pain becomes unbarable or is consistent for a long time go to the doctor or like a trainer or a swim coach
dont train ur knee muscles more thats just putting more strain on them.
Prescription Swimming Goggles?
im in a swim team at my school..and my best stroke is breast stroke..and it never ever happened to me when i was swimming breast stroke..but i think you should go see your doctor..it can get worse):Will you help me learn to swim?
My best stroke is breastroke. I dislocated my knee playing basketball. For some time after that my knee would feel like it was going to dislocate when I swam breastroke. I've done a lot of weight training to tighten the muscles around my knees. All fine now. You should see a physiotherapist.More Questions & Answers...
