Have head people suggest goggles or diving masks but really.

Say if you were going to go sufing you could not leave the hotel, and walk down the street in your mask or goggles and when you go swimming most of the time your goggles are off. You only put them on when you are aswimming underwater or face in water.

And what if at an outdoor pool you look a complete dork of you are walking around the pool with your gogles or diving mask on.

How do u overcome a fear of deep end in a swimming pool?

Prescription goggles would be the way to go in most situations. If your eyesight is THAT bad that you really cannot see well enough to swim or dive I high;y recommend going to your optomotrist and asking him about prescription goggles.

I've had many a teammate and athlete of my own who wears glasses and none of them have ever had such severly impaired vision that they required prescription goggles but I met a man while racing who used them for open water distance to help with spotting.

Good luck!

Swimming good for your skin?

I have contacts and they last about two weeks. Fof me they stay in just fine. However if yours keep falling out I would reccomend having a pair of goggles. Goggles will prevent those contacts from falling out when you are in the water. Plus you will still be able to see underwater.

Getting diseases from wearing contacts in the water and taking a shower there is almost no risk. I would know because I wear my contacts all the time when I am teaching swimming lessons. The only down side to wearing contacts in the pool is that your eyes will get really dried out. So if you are not wearing goggles then have some eye drops with you.

Trust me wearing contacts in water is completely safe. You don't have to worry about diseases at all. Your eye will not get infected or anything like that.

I have prescription goggles for when I am swimming however, I find that wearing them makes everything blurry because I have my contacts in. So I just bring along a contacts case and I put the contacts in the case and then I will put my contacts back in when I am done swimming.

Hope this helps!
