Number one rule in swimming : Never swim alone ( there should be always lifeguard or good swimmer to watch you )5 swim stroke: only four international (crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly ) lots put dolphin as fifth stroke so maybe don't know !
Sit on the bottom: Its important for beginners to learn how to hold their breath and to panic in water !
When you have your head out of water? hhmm i don't think we have a name for that unless you mean the dog style but your body is not really vertical in that position so i don't know lol
Anything wrong with peeing in swimming pool showers?
1. Never go in the water after alcohol. 2. Breast, butterfly, back, normal, doggie. 3. Sitting down at the bottom of the pool developes good breathing practices (breath holding) 4. Dog paddleSwimming muscles have a problem?
The number one rule in swimming competitively is to not touch the bottom or the walls, otherwise the rule would probably be don't drown. There are 4 competitive swimming strokes and they are backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle, others include sidestroke and dog paddle. sitting on the bottom of the pool is to improve breathing and you can just stay underwater as long as you can. Last is the dog paddle.Where are Swimming Classes in Chennai taken?
There is no most important rule. In fact, there are so many rules for the different strokes that i cannot name them all. The main ones for each stroke are the followingBackstroke
1) may not pull on lanelines
Breastroke
1) must touch wall with two hands at turns and finish
2)arms and legs must move at the same time
Butterfly
1)arms must move at the same time
2)legs must stay together
3)must touch wall with two hands at turns and finish
Freestyle
1) only rule is that you must touch the wall at the turn
There are only 4 swimming strokes (Backstroke "back", breastroke "breast", butterfly "fly", freestyle "free") unless you count elementary backstroke which is not a real stroke in competivitve swimming.
sitting at the bottom of the pool is good for breath control...but other than that it can be extremely dangerous so it's probably not a very good idea.
When your head is out of the water and your body is vertical... it's basically treading water using the different leg tecniques... i don't believe theres a real name for it.
hopefully this answers your questions

How do I get over hating how cold the water is in a swimming pool?
number one rule in swimming is stretch before you swim and no running on deck.in competitive swimming there are actually four they are;
1) freestyle (front crawl)
2) backstroke
3) breaststroke
4) butterfly
but if you like you can count elementary back stroke.
it is not really important to sit at the bottom of the pool, it just helps you build a stronger lung capacity, so you will be able to hold your breath underwater longer.
when you have your head out of the water in the deep end of the pool with your body vertical, and you are moving your legs to help maintain your head out of the water, it is called treading water.
Can the chemicals in a pool age or damage your face skin?

1. I don't no if there is a number one rule, but don't drown would be a good one.2. The competitive strokes are Freestyle, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Backstroke. Doggie Paddle and Elementary Backstroke are not strokes. Sidestroke is considered a stroke, although it is not a competitive stroke.
3. I don't know why it is important to sit on the bottom of the pool.
4. Treading water

What exactly do you mean by rule?I'd say dont get disqualified!
Also like all sports you have to enjoy it and work hard to succeed.
The swimming strokes are Butterfly / Backstroke / Breastroke / Frontcrawl / And Individual medley (I.M) Which is all four strokes.
It's not important to sit at the bottom of the pool. There are better ways to improve your breathing. Try cutting down on the amount of breaths on each length you do instead.
It is treading water or sometimes it can be called sculling.
Hope i have helped you and good luck with your swimming! :)
