How do I reserface after I dive?

Question:Hi,

I go swimming, and tomorrow, I have to do dives. Now I can do a dive, but I don't know how to resurface. My teacher says swim to the top, but I just don't know how. We are doing kneeling dives, into an 8ft deep pool. After I dive in, water will I have to do to come back up to the surface.

So, how do I come back up to the surface after I dive? What moves do I have to do or what?

How much should someone charge a customer for simple pool maintenance?

well, you dive then ur in streamline. then, you tilt ur body slightly towards the top of the water and you start kicking with butterfly kick or freestlye kick. you will reach the surface in no time.4-5 seconds.

Strokes and Turns - Can the coach be in your lane with you?

keep you body straight and do a flutter kick, point your arms and head upward (but not straight up) to the surface. When you're close enough to the surface, start whatever stroke your doing and lay flat.

It's really easy just relax, don't panic.

Also, ask your teacher to watch you and give you specific pointers on what your doing wrong. If you are in a group class and you don't want everyone else watching you then, you could ask teacher to stay after to help you out.

You probably won't get it right the first time so make sure you practice.
