Put rubbing alcohol in it and then dump it out. The ear will be cleared of both the water & alcohol. Sounds weird, but it works and I have used the trick after many days lounging in my pool.

How do you keep you're goggles from falling off in a swimming race?

If you just tilt your head side and hop, it won't work. Because the water is trapped inside your ear.

There's a better method I usually use:

Tilt your head so your ear hole facing up. Pour in a little more water (a handful of water is enough). Wait for 2 seconds or so, till the water fill your ear completely. Then, tilt down your head, so that your ear hole facing down and the trapped water inside your ear can pour out.

The addition water will eventually mix with the water inside your ear. So, the excessive amount of water will suck out the trapped water, using the gravity force to defeat the cohesive force of the trapped water.

What is your favorite stroke in swimming?

I always pour a mixture of 50% alcohol and 50% vinegar in my ears after swimming. It dries the water out completely, and doesn't cause any harm to the ear. My ears haven't held water in a very long time.

Does anyone else love scuba diving?

Pouring Alcohol into one's own ears' is what I suppose not a good idea as alcohol can sometimes burn skin & the skin in the ears are really very deilcate. The problem occurs when the water gets trapped inside the channel of the ear drums, that's the reason we feel drum's sound in our ears when we hit on the back of our head.
What I can suggest is that just Twist your head in as many directions you can do. For e.x. Twist your head to the left & right vigourously for sometime (But not too vigouroulsy). After sometime you'll feel a hot sensation in your Ears which is nothing but the water coming out which was trapped in your ears.

Note: You should only try this if you are not suffering from severe neck pain or Spondilitis
