chlorine in the water could do it.Could be you got water in your sinus's, this can give killer headaches. Also one can get lots of germs causing sore throats colds etc. as a result of doing this.

i know this question. it happen to me too. i asked the lifeguard and he told me either i had not slept enough or not rest well enough. its true for cause im sure i had less then 5 hours sleep. was told 8 hours of sleep is sufficient.but everyone have different reaction if you are very concern its best see a doctor.
