Question about swimming..?

every time I go swimming, I get done and I have a minor head ache. Is this due to lack of oxygen to my brain because I have to hold my head under water while I swim? is this common? Thanks

The best place to scuba dive?

There are a couple of causes in swimming that can lead to headaches when you are done. As you mentioned, breathing can be one of them. You don't have to hold your breath when you are swimming, in fact you should be breathing in and out at normal rates. If you are breathing rhythmically (steadily breathing in with mouth, out with nose), you will be more comfortable in the water and if this is the source of the problem, it will help with the headaches.
I have allergies and any time my sinuses would be acting up, I'd get a headache at any depth of water and a huge one when I had to dive down deep.
Other than those, you might have your goggles too tight.
