How do you COMpletely REmove the Pool Chlorine?
The 20's bathing suits were ugly and itchy.Really itchy. They were made of fine wool. There was no spandex, or elastic fabrics of any type. the women's suits looked like a tank top that grew until it fell below the hips. Some of the suits had a built in pantie under the skirt, some (the racier suits) just ended in what today, you would call a boy-leg short. And they had a belt, complete with buckle and belt loops, that sat mid-hip. there were no built in bras, whatever you had just hung there.The men's suits were also made of wool, belted, and fit snugly around the waist, with legs that came a little below the hip.
Most of the suits were black.
I still laugh at pictures of my parents in their courting years, wearing outfits exactly like those and they thought they were pretty hot stuff...
