I've heard some different mile estimates in terms of the pool size, I've heard 66 lenghts for a 25 yard pool and also 72. But of course this could be where the difference in meters and yards comes into play where 66 is in a 25 meter pool and 72 is in a 25 yard pool so for a third of a mile it'd be 24 lenghts in a 25 yard pool and 22 lenghts in a 25 yard pool.

With those numbers in mind they would convert to around 33 lenghts in a 50 meter pool and 36 lenghts in a 50 yard pool. It's just one of those inconveniences of the metric system to the USA system. So for a third of a mile in a 50 meter pool it'd be 12 lenghts and for a 50 yard pool it'd be 11 lenghts.

Most pools are yards in the united states. 64 lengths (if its a 25 yard pool (some are 50 yards long. These are called Long Course and probably will not be in a fitness center))is a mile in yards. So about 22 lengths of a 25 yard pool is a 1/3 mile.
