My breast stroke is on frizts.?


I keep improving my storke and my coach says I am doing fine but I can never get it fast enough. I am good at all the others but not this one.

The technique part of it is major but so is the speed you go at. Actually, in terms of all the components that go into the stroke breaststroke is easily the most balanced of them all. If you increase your speed and get your legs stronger while making less drag then there's at least a second off your 100 time.

Of course breaststroke is the slowest stroke of them all but still, don't get disapointed just because you can't swim one of the strokes too well. I've seen some people do horrible in the breaststroke leg of the IM but their back or free was so good that they actually got good times or even placed really high. It won't kill you if you don't perfect your breaststroke; sure, it'll hurt, but you can still swim the IM if you need to.

How can i be able to open my eyes under fresh water? (w/o goggles of course)?

It takes longer to improve on breastroke. Trust me, I am a breastroke swimmer and I actually got worse at one point before improving loads after. Just work really hard at it. Lots of it is about the technique. Just because you are trying to go fast doesn't mean you should move your arms as quickly as possible. I used to do that and once I got out of it a bit I found I could go longer, faster. Good Luck and remember to practice hard and be determined to achieve what you want.

I am a really good breaststroker
I have a 36 in the 50
a 1:15 in the 100
and a 2:47 in the 200
I am a state champ I am only eleven but I know a lot about it
keep your neck straight never move your head pretend like it is in a neck brace
never dive wit your arms keep them up towards the surface
shoot your arms forward as fast as you possibly can
kick your legs really fast and make sure you finnish you kick so your legs are squeezing together
the most important part is your turn and pullout in practise my turn is sown to a .99 seconds and my pullout is stong make sure you streamline long enough and then push your hands through the water with all of your might while doing a big dolphin kick at the same time
