Is it too late with getting train to become a competitive swimmer in age 26?
Water polo is fun, but you have to really enjoy it. To be good, it's hard work. It's lots of swimming, back and forth. That's endurance and discipline. Lifting weights and runnings helps. But if you can't swim, I definitely wouldn't suggest it. o_OYou can't swim and play water polo. LOL
No, it probably will not make you loose weight because it is so intense that you probably would rape the fridge after practice... if you could swim.
i play water polo, and the main reason i joined it was to get fit. i didnt lose much wieght, but my muscles got a real workout and i felt tighter.
If you cant swim, there are other sports out there that do the same thing, and water polo is going to suck if you are drowning
Techniques to swim faster underwater?
Learn to swim and have fun while doing it. It will make it less boring.Do u know any good shops that i can find good swim suits at?
Water polo is the absolute best but you have to love the brutal violence and finesse that may accompany it! If you aren't a very good swimmer, then that may be one reason that you don't like polo! In my opinion, I think that a polo game is more tiring than a swim meet, but swim practice is sometimes more tiring than polo practice. You have to develop a love for the sport. And yes, swimming is a great way to loose weight, and if you are in good enough shape, polo can be also. Just remember that swimming is the basis of polo! You hate it because you can't swim. If you can swim it's really fun. I can swim, and I love it. It should make you lose weight if you train for it with a good coach, because they'll bust your butt doing cardio and suit-outs, and 1m board touches and treading with heavy balls and milk jugs and sweatpants on. And then there's the games, which are a real workout.
water polo is a fun but hard sport you wont like it unless you stay positive about i you probably don't like it cause its hard and you have had a negative experience from it. i have lost some weight from water polo not much but 5-8 pounds.
PS i don't think this is a good sport for you sense you cant swim
