The crawl is a specific stroke frequently used during freestyle swimming.Whats the average weight of an 800 meter runner and whats the 800 meter world record?
I believe that it is fundamentally the same.Yes, Crawl is the same as Freestyle. Races are generally held in 50m, 100m, 200m, and 500 meter distances.
There are four swimming styles commonly swum in competitions. Three of them are regulated by the FINA. These three are:
Breaststroke
Backstroke
Butterfly
A fourth competition is for unregulated styles and is called freestyle. During freestyle, it is possible to swim any style on this list. Due to the superior speed, most swimmers choose front crawl for freestyle competitions. For medley swimming freestyle is any style except breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly.
I am looking for good swimming holes in NW AR. Does anyone know any?
i don't know of a crawl but the front crawl is freestyle and the back crawl is back stroke. The american front crawl was invented by Johnny Weismuller (tarzan) and is considered the same as freestyle in the racing terms. The backstroke is also known as the Back Crawl.
How do I go about getting lifegaurd training & certified?
crawl is the fastest stroke.. so when you swim freestlye.. you want to do the fastest strokeif you wanted to swim fly or back on a freestlye race you could, it's up to you
Crawl is the name given to the stroke you must use in the Individual medley after fly, back, breast, then crawl (free). In the Medley Relay, it is the stroke used after back, breast, fly...and the free is a stroke that has not been done in any of the other legs. When swimming freestyle, you may use any stroke. The exceptions are the Medley Relay, and the Individual Relay.
How do you swim in a forward stroke, how do you breath?
freestyle and "crawl" are the same thingWhat has been your best diving experience?
The Australian Crawl as it is called is the same as free. Butter is two free arm and two free legs at the same time and you must do a simulations two hand touch. Brest is a very slow stoke it's hard to describe you breath every stoke and as with Butter it's a simulations two hand touch. Back is free on your back basically you must stay on your back except for turning.More Questions & Answers...
