In Abyss movie, is the diving gear used for deep diving reel or real?
The diving gear worn by the lead actor in defusing the nuke, has some sort of liquid loaded with high oxygen content, that he can breathe. This also keep him from crushing him like a tin can. Is it really in existence today?

Who is currently the number one ranked player in swimming in the world?
Although there are studies for such a system, the one used in the movie is pure fiction. The problem with the one in development is to get the liquid out of the lungs. Rats have been able to survive for nearly 3 hours breathing a special liquid, but die when trying to drain the liquid.Has any black swimmer won a gold medal at the olympics?
No. It was all nonsense. The exchange of oxygen/CO2 within the lungs just doesn't work like that. The fact that your lungs are full of liquid would offer no protection from the tons of pressure upon your body.Consider the ludicrous misinformation the character offers for the feasibility of the system. He points out that as babies in the womb, we all breathed 'underwater'. Balls! We exchanged CO2 for oxygen via our umbilical/placenta connection.
