Marine grade plywood is treated to be water resistant. This doesn't mean that it won't rot out or delaminate, just that it takes a bit longer than normal plywood.

You can seal it with any number of products, though the best is going to be fiberglass epoxy. It's long lasting, sturdy as all get out, and your plywood will last for many many years.
