It all depends on what you're getting. If it's a 12 foot wide, circular 3 foot deep pool with nothing else, then yes, it's too much money. If it's an 18 x 36 with heater, deck and first class filter equipment, no, it's a great deal. Without knowing the details, it's like asking is 60 grand too much for a car. My brother in law had a pool with a long guarantee, the pool fell apart and the company is out of business. He couldn't even get parts to fix it. He had to buy a new pool.well, i would say yes. i think above ground pools are ugly and tacky. i know that inground pools cost about forty grand (for a good quality one).

Even if it is installed 15k is far too much to spend on an above ground pool. Even our most expensive 18ft x 44ft x 52' Pool is only $7000.00 with a 30 year warranty. Paying for installation of this monster pool you would only be spending 10k at most.I would thank these people very nicely and turn around and run away. They are charging you too much.
As a previous poster said the warranty is only as good as the company, and pool companies get sold, or fold fairly regularly.
The best companies hang around.
But check that warranty closely if you are going this direction, because most companies have a tiered warranty...the first 5 years or so with a full warranty. then they start to prorate.
So I guess you know my opinion...but if the pool is made of gold or platinum, my answer would change ;o)
