I need pool water!? Does the fire dept. help?

I am about to buy a 13000 gallon pool and before I do I want to make sure that I can get it filled up since I live kinda in the country. I heard that if you donate money to the fire dept. they will come fill up your pool. Is this true? If it is how much should I donate?

Why is it so hard to get a boyfriend?

Our fire department will do it for a donation but the water we get is lake water because they fill the trucks from a resevoir. Make sure you ask about that or you might be freaked out by the brackish water with branches in it that works for fighting fires but it not much fun for siwmming until it clears up!

You could put the garden hose in the pool, that's how we do ours. It takes a day or two but it's free (we have a well) and it's clean.

Good luck!

Do I need my certification card to dive or is my ID number enough?

you put a hose in and let it run for 24 hours

and if you are on a septic tank system you are fine, however,
if you are on a city sewer - make arrangements with the
water company to get a pass on 13,000 gallons -

as sewer rates are tied to water usage

Any tips for novice swimmers trying to swim in deep water?

its not a donation, its a fee, my dad is the groundsman of a football club and when it was really hot and the grass on the pitch started to burn, they got the fire dept to water the pitch but it cost them a pretty penny, I'm not sure how much though!
