Help!! i have a veri good kiking but my arms r like weak any suggestions?


i have tried everything i have been on my swimming team since last year, every1 tells me dat my kikin is good, ive tried bouys n it just doesnt work, any suggestions pliz help i want 2 become a vetter swimmer thanx!!

The paddles will help build arm strength. There are also some dry land exercises but you should probably talk to your coach for those.

If your coach lets you practice it on your own after practice is done for a while you can use pull buoys. These buoys go between your inner thighs and the trick is to keep the buoy there and therefore not kick. This is what you can do in the water and you can also try other exercises with weights and other things such as push-ups. Obviously don't expect great results instantaniously if your arms aren't strong to begin with. You can also try lifting some small weights and building up your lifting weight amount.

How come very fat people can float in water?

Try doing a one armed drill when doing choice drill. When you do butterfly, wtih your free hand at your side, you can really begin to feel it. Just make sure to alternate arms evenly, so one isn't stronger than the other.

I have the same thing. If you have time to swim allow, strengthen your arms by tryng swimming with just your arms, long stroke strerch all the may to your finger tips

Use a buoy and only pull for part of practice or all of it. Don't expect to get faster immediately. I have the complete opposite problem and kicking a lot has really started to help.
