like in the summer you are swimming most likely for me in an outside pool. so from that the sun is shining and going through the water and the rays hit us / you which when your swimming makes you very dark and tan. when i swim for two hours a day in the summer i get so dark from swimming constintly in the sun= dark tan

Swimmers aren't always tan. Especially age group state/club swimmers, as the chlorine can bleach the skin, which actually makes your skin lighter. Unless you were just born that way.
