I know someone who go automatic NCAA qualification in swimming and i don't know what it means
Answers:
What are this?
There are two NCAA qualifying standards in each race - the A standard, and the B standard. If a swimmer acheives the A standard during the season, before NCAAs, they are automatically qualified for the meet. If they qualify for the B standard but not the A, they have to wait to see how many swimmers qualify ahead of them. If there are fewer than 24 swimmers in the country that make the A standard, they'll allow the fastest B qualifiers enter in order to bring the total number of entrants up to 24.
