Actually the answer might be yes, while you are exhaling when you burp the body's immediate response is to suck air back in to replace what was released. Therefore your body will draw water on the inhale immediately following an exhale.

I dont think so, cuz you dont suck in air when you burp, it goes out.

Honestly, I burp in my mouth (closed) and let the air go out of my nose--it diverts the whole process, or possiblilty of gulping water.
