Don't worry about it, thats what the class is for. You will probably be able to start somewhere that you can stand in, so if you start having trouble just put your feet down. If you are still worried just look around on the internet for basic information. If you are in relatively good shape it shouldn't be any problem.Hooking up swimming pool pump/filter to above ground pool?

Just relax. Maybe get a good friend or someone you know to teach you how. If you aren't paniced in the water you will be just fine. :]I have to (OK want to) get all new SCUBA gear. Give me a list of what to buy and why (mask to fins)?
Just try and relax. Remember that you will have an instructor with you at all times, who is lifeguard qualified, so nothing will happen to you.Can someone give a link or a picture about the diver Roman Volod'kov?

When I was in 8th and 9th grade they "wanted" us to swim. And who didn't want to could run. I ran because i didn't know how to swim and to this day i still dont. I took lessions when i was a kid and it never paied off. I feel today that In my life I don't need to learn or swim. But in your case just stay in the low end depeneding on how tall you are just stay in a confortable place. You shouldn't do anything that you don't want to do! Also, if you have time go to a pool like the Y see how you react to the water and search the net for some information on some swimming moves.Good luck- The Cool Man

Do research on the internet and just look up some commong things, like freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfuly, also open turns and flip turns. I would recommend reading about those things so you have somewhat of an idea what to expect, just make sure you have the proper things no 2 piece suit, nike speedo or something else one piece will work, and then goggles and a cap. Thats about it. Just relax and they will teach you step by step how to do everything. Also read a little about starts, and streamlines, and whatever else in your research that they mention. Practice holding your breath also and if you can just maybe go to a pool and just practice what you know a little that way you know what its going to be like.
omg! relax! it's just swimming which i'm assuming you swim in the summer time. so whats the difference just a little extra work.
Anyone else have their photo taken with David Wilkie ?
ts the thought thats the most difficult part, you've scared yourself but once you actually get into the water you will realize its not that bad and you wont be scared as muchI am a swim instructor and a lifeguard. I have been on the swimming and diving team. I know that you will be just fine!! Our job is easy as long as the people who take our class try their best. Being some what coordinated help of course but the instructors are very nice people and they will help you in any way they can. Mostly it is hard for swim instructors to teach kids who don't want to learn, or kids who don't pay attention or stuff like that but you will be just fine! I promise!
What is better watford or man u?
Do not be scared! Learning to swim was one of the funnest experiences of my life! Your instructor won't let you drown. Don't be embarrassed if you're not that good either, because not everybody is a good swimmer, and I'm sure that there'll be other inexperienced swimmers in your class.
