What to take to swimming pool?
Question:Hey.
I am not American and am unfamiliar with local customs. I want to start going to the swimming pool, but afraid that I will embarece myself by doing something not allowed. I have a swimming shorts, and I know to wear them. But I mean more like, do I were shower shoes when I go to the pool. Do I wipe myself down after I get out, or can I just walk wet to the dressing room. Do I have to shower before I get in.
Appreciate all your help!

You should bring a towel and toiletries with you. It is proper etiquette to rinse yourself off in the shower before going into the pool. Also bring a pair of flip flops to walk around in - pools are a breeding ground for bacteria, and especially foot warts so you always want to have your feet covered when walking around. Most swimming pools have lockers you can borrow, so bring your own lock. If you have long hair, tie it with a rubber band or use a swimming cap. After getting out the pool, you should let the water drain off a little bit - towel off a bit if you can - so you don't leave a wet trail that someone else can trip and fall on.no just jump in thats what americans do u dont need shoes why wipe down just leave.
Why do you feel so hungry after you swim in cold water?
Wear your shorts, no shoes, your supposed to take a shower although most people dont, and dont worry about dryin off becaude your just going to get wet again. Then just have the time of your life. P.S. Dont dive in anything under 10 ft.Why is my dry snorkel allowing water into the mouthpiece?
most pools want you to shower before you get in the pool, but most americans don't...as for drying off, do a quick wipe down by the pool, and then, change in the locker room. as for shoes, that's up to you...some people wear them, some don't.if you're a girl go TOPLESS! it's okay...i asked sports1234.com - http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
Bring a towel, a swim suit, googles, and a change of clothes.
It depends on what you want. You should definitely bring swimming shorts and you don't have to wear sandals if you don't want to. However, I would advise it if the pool deck is dirty. If you want, you can bring a towel to dry yourself after you get out of the pool. You don't have to; you can just walk to the locker room dripping wet. There are usually signs around the pool saying that you should shower before you get into the pool. Normally, at the place I usually swim, I don't shower and no one cares. When I swim somewhere else, they march you right back into the locker to take a shower before allowing you to come out. It depends on where you go to swim. I hope my advice is helpful!
