How can i float?


Question:i just started learning how to swim and i am having trouble floating

i can float on my back well but whenever i try to float on my front i sink like a rock

can i please have some tips?

First of all, some people can and some people can't. It has to do with the center of mass in your body and whatnot. But, what I would do is take a big lung full of air (don't just fill your mouth, make sure your chest expands when you breath in), and bend over in the water, laying yourself softly on top of it, and relax. If your hips start to sink, try to put your weight on your chest and upper body where all the air is (basically, lean forward slightly). Also, you have to have your face in the water to be able to float.

Why do i only get cramps in school pools?

there is no way tou can float on your fron i mean really.

i was the oppposite i could float on my front but not on my back.

The secret to be able to float on your front is to fill your lung with air and don't release them. It's like a balloon filled with air and it will float on water. By filling your lung with air you're like a balloon and should be able to float on your front. And keep your body relax too.
