How does temperature affect scuba?

I can't get the sand out of my bikini top that is stuck in the liner. How do you get it out w/o cutting it?

Too many aspects to consider here. First is the fact that you loose body temp. faster in water than in air. It does not amtter if you are diving in the carrebean with 89 degree water, you are loosing body temp. from the moment you get in the water adn you dont gain it back. Now aplly that to colder water and the effect is more drastic. Thats the re4ason we wear exposure suits. The thicker the neoprene the less temperature exchange you will have. Notice I said less because you will still loose body temp. On the more extreme you can use a drysuit that keeps you much more warmer since you are not expose (as much) to the water. Another fact is that you loose most of your heat through your extremities. Your head being consider one of the extremities for this purpose. So adding a hoodie and gloves (specially the hoodie) will make you conserve body heat.

Know from here you got to consider bouyancy from the water and from your exposure suit. The more neoprene the more bouyancy and of course the more lead you will need to keep you neutrally bouyant.

Many other aspects related to water temp. like thermocline, the effects of cold water and DCS, etc, are there but I think this is enough for now.
I hope I answered your question. I tried not to be too lenghty, sorry.

Where can i buy swimming caps in different sizes?

the water temp or your temp?

scuba is usually not as fun in colder waters so we wear a wetsuit.
Your temperature should not really change during scuba diving as you should be breathing normally.

What website would i go to to find out about getting certified to be a lifeguard?

Just the thickness of the neoprene rubber the suit (wet suit) is made of

.Can someone tell me what is better, chlorine pucks, or liquid?

If you are too warm, it will raise your heart rate. If you're too cold, you will use excess energy to warm up. It's hard to say what is too warm or too cold because everyone is different. Personally, I prefer being on the cool side. Unless I'm diving in fresh water in the north, I prefer not to wear a wet suit, or if I'm diving deeper, I use a 2ml suit. But everyone is different and I know people who can't dive in warm water with a suit.
