I just learned how to snorkel and I love it, I would like to purchase a snorkel set. Which one is best?
I love to snorkel, even though I have only done it once. I would like to purchase a snorkel set but I have no idea where to start. I would like a nice one that will last a long time. I just don't want to end up with something cheap that leaks and it difficult to use. Please let me know, thanks!

How long do those quickset infltable ring pools tend to last?
I am a diver so I have few snorkel sets that i use for diving, and to give you guidance on this question is not to look for a brand per se, but rather look for a fit around your face. Facial shape is different for everyone so it's is something you should NOT buy just buy looking at a photo online.Best thing to do is go to a nearest dive shop and try them on. put the mask on your face (without the strap) and suck in the air with your nose and if the mask doesn't fall off (because it has a great seal around your face) that is something you should get. (If the diver shop is too expensive, just get the model number and buy them online somewhere else like online dive shops like leisurepro.com or other web vendor like amazon.
Mask is very important since that keeps the water away from your face giving you the ability to see. Look for masks that are clear on the sides of the mask for better visibility. Some of the higher end masks have interchangeable lenses for color adjustments, as well as prescription lenses, so that you don't have to wear contacts when going in the water.
As far as your snorkle, most of them work well. My snorkel has the standard curved shape with double purge so that any water that gets in can be pushed out through the bottom and not the top, making purging easier.
Chooing your snorkeling equipment should be fit/comfort before price. Most manufacturers of snorkeling equipment, in a scuba dive shop, are very good. I can't say the same for equipments in big sporting goods store, they tend to be cheaper and poorer in quality.
You should expect to pay about $20 -30 for good snorkel and $40 to $80 for good mask. If you love snorkeling you definitely want to get a quality mask and snorkel.
Good luck.
