Should I do an Advanced open water course or do fun dives on vacation in puerto rico?
Question:I am planning a vacation to Puerto rico and got my open water cert in june. i wanted to do some more diving and wanted know if i should get the aow cert or just have fun and dive for a few days. Cost is an issue. also any tips on dive shops in PR that are good and economical. I have 3 dive days.

Does anyone know anything about high school swimming?
My wife and I got the Advanced Open Water on our honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico.Doing the AOW would cost more than doing 3 days of dives but it will be well worth it. I am not sure about Puerto Rico, but in Mexico, it was about $350 for 5 days in 3 days including all the gears, so it wasn't that much more than doing 3 days of diving.
AOW is not like your OW certification, it has a very little class room and more dive time. The dive master and instructor that we had was great, she took us out and took the first 1/2 of the dive to do the skills and then it was just free diving and it never felt like I was taking a test or in a class. Just fun diving.
AOW is definitely worth doing, and if you get a chance, I would do it. Check out www.padi.com and search for dive shops in Puerto Rico and they have links to the websites. Check out each operators' websites for rates and classes.

If cost is the issue, do vacation dives IF you can dive with a competent dive master. I would strongly recommend the advanced cert, especially if you are PADI certified. You'll have a lot more confidence and be better able to deal with any emergency that arises.Can i fly in paraglide after diving?
I would say that any additional training would be beneficial. Why can't the dives for the AOW certification also be fun dives?? All diving can be fun. I would highly encourage you to only dive with a good dive master until you get more experience and confidence. The AOW certification (regardless of which agency) is one way to get beth the experience and confidence.Where can I buy wrestling suit in Singapore?
Many schools expect you to have your own kit for holiday dives, or will hire them out. If you do not have your own kit then remember to take this into account when working out costs. The advanced open water may not be that much more expensive.The AOW is a good course as it lets you learn about the area, which other dives may not.
