put the pullbuoys between your thighs where you can hold them secure just by keeping your legs together. once you've got them in place, just swim using only your arms. the floating helps you when you're not using your legs. they're used to strengthen you upper body while swimming, since you can only use your arms while using a pullbuoy. they also can help you in learning the proper technique, since often times by isolating just the upper body for freestyle you will start having the proper body rotation.hope that answers your question

- great travel pillows.. ( a little smelly.. but perfect elevation of the floor )

- inner thigh hair removers.. and some skin too.. I think i still have red skin from the bouy .. scarred for life

Put the pulboys inbetween your legs, I usually do it between the innerthighs or ankles. when you kno theyre secure, swim with only your arms. another home-method of the pulbuoy is a bucket; tie a string to it and tie the other end to your ankle. it pulls the water and slows you down. you put the pullbuoys between your theighs (upper legs) and i usally cross my ankels so it wont come off as eaisly and you just pull your self doing a strokeheres a tip
they help alot if you use them for your flip turns
