No. At 20 years of age, she has already won 2 grand slams.She beat the two top seeded players in 2006 to win the US OPEN, only the 8th person in history to do so. She is one of the top 5 women tennis pros in the world. Don't compare her to A.Kournakov:Anna hasn't won a professional tournament yet. Just because Sharapova is beatiful and flaunts her beauty, doesn't diminsh her as a tennis player. Serena Williams seemingly took 3 years off to pursue a modeling career. She finally realized that tennis is her real meal ticket.
Why doesn't anyone criticize Serena for being the most talented player in the world who didn't win a Grand Slam in 4 years? FINALLY, she wins an Australian OPen. If this 26 year old woman had any focus whatsoever, she would have already passed Seffi Graf as the greatest women tennis player ever. I hope Serena does refocus on tennis and dominate as she did in 1998-2002. In the meantime, don't be so hard on a 20 year old Sharapova, with 2 grand slam titles to her credit.
