Why do tennis balls have fuzz?
Well, to start with, I'd recommend getting a overgrip sleeve to prevent further "stinkage." You can get these from Big 5 or Dick's Sporting Goods, they cost about two dollars and help absorb sweat while keeping your grip nice and tight. You could also try some grip tape, available at the same places. If you like the grip you have now, however, put some rubbing alcohol mixed with a bit of water on a rag and LIGHTLY clean off the grip, to get dirt and gunk off of it. Next, put some nice-smelling cleaner (such as Lysol) on it to keep it fresh. Good luck in tennis!

Have you tried spraying it with Lysol after use?The apple scent Lysol smells good too!
Try using some of the absorbent wrap that many players use for extra grip. When your wrap begins to smell, just replace it with a new one.
Can i get some tips on how to become a professional tennis player?

Name the city which hosted the Indo–Pak Davis Cup recently in india?
That odor comes naturally from bacteria which thrives in damp conditions. Hate that odor? Keep it clean. Keep your racket hand clean as much as possible, the grip as well of course. Smelly grip? I guess you'll just have to replace it and thereafter follow a clean grip policy. You can also use those overgrips. Because no matter how clean you are, with normal use, in time that dreaded smell will come, no matter what. Then you will only have to change overgrips which are much much cheaper. With the clean grip policy though, the smell doesn't become as bad as it would with a non clean grip attitude and the onset of the bad odor would take so much longer to come. Great tennis to you all!well i just replace the grip so it smells fresh and new.
right.use an overgrip so overtime, you can just replace it whenever it gets dirty, smelly or whatever. that way, you get to keep the original grip nice and clean. overgrips are just $5.i like to use the wilson tacky ones..doesn't slip around my hands whenever my hand sweat from playing.
