How can i learn to hit a pronated serve in tennis?
Start by watching the U.S. Open which is on TV right now or any other tournament, that will help you with the scoring and such.As for learning it on your own, it's probably best to take a few lessons first so that you'll know how to hold the racquet properly. Thereafter, just hit the ball against a wall to get some practice.
I hope this will help. Good luck with the game.

Join a tennis club or even join a yahoo! club; the best way to learn about something is to be involved in it.Not to mention, tennis is fun!

Be sure to scream every once and a while when you hit the ball. It helps wake up the audience.Sorry, not a big fan of tennis. It's kinda boring.
Good luck in your trials though.

Why are scores 15, 30 and 40 and not 45 in tennis?
Tennis is awesome. I've been playing it for quite a while now...The scoring is based on a 6 or 8 pro set game
and the points go by Love, 15, 30, 40...
It's really not that complicated. Join a league or ask a friend for help on how to play.
Good luck with everything =]
Bend your knees and keep your elbow straight.
Do you think Andre Agassi have any chance in his last Us open?
I was self taught in tennis. The cheapest way to do that is to find a park that has a tennis court with a practice board... usually a large board on the fence with a white line at net level. I basicly just started playing against that. Then I got to the point where I could move all around the court and still hit the ball just barely above that line.By the time I took the class in college, I found that I was far above most other players in that class. I could actually get the ball over the net. Which can save you from the "why am I paying 79 bucks a credit hour" thoughts you will have if you suck at it.
Good luck and have fun!
Start off just with technique and get a personal trainer. THen when you are more advanced you can worry about rules matches, equipment...etc.
Where's the best sports bookshop in london?
Every good self-taught player in the world will tell you the same thing: If they had the chance to do it all over again, they'd never have learned tennis by themselves. Instead, they'd have taken PRIVATE lessons, as soon as possible, from a highly-qualified Tennis Instructor. And, be advised, don't take cheap lessons. You only get what you pay for!

Just find a wall with a line at the nets height...Hit against that dailyWhat female tennis player won Wimbledon in 1999?
if u dont know the game....c as many tournaments as u can on TV...n get 2 knw the game..once u knw the game perfect...then join any professional...course..or hire a trainer...u need 2 join a club .coz u need a good lawn to practice on
My honest pointer would be, I think you should seriously consider playing or learning with someone, even if you think you have ur mind made up. It doesn't have to be someone who's been playing for yrs(although that would help u improve ur game..), it could be a friend of urs who also wants to learn.
Racket control, serving drills, or bourncing it against a wall constantly are all ways you could improve your aim and eventually perfect(theoretically) ur game.
If there's a tennis club or membership sort of thing around ur neighborhood, it might help to join. Hpe this helps.

http://www.lazardev.com/tennispartners.h...There ya go! Buy a racket and some balls. When
I took my tennis lessons (I was 11 years old),
we learned simply how to hit the ball straight
down to the ground using our racket for a week
straight. The next week, we learned how to
hit the ball straight into the air using our racket.
The third week, we hit the ball against a wall
about 12 feet in front of us for 5 straight days.
So, that is 3 weeks, of just getting familiar with
the ball, racket and our arm/power. I think
that was essential to our success and discipline,
preparation and foundation for what was to come.
When it is time to begin hitting the ball over the
net with a partner, you will have comfort,
confidence and a good start. Go to the library
and check out some DVD's or videos and hook
up with another beginner using the site above.
Best wishes... live in Ohio? Just checkin'.
Ok, usually a lot of tennis courts have a 2 sided wall for single practice; grab a racket (make sure it "fits" you-put the bottom under your armpit, extend your arm and find a racket "top" that just touches your middle finger); read a book on the basics on how to hold the racket and place your legs; grab a bucket of balls and practice hitting the center of the wall.good luck!

Looking for a similar racquet to a Yonex RD Power 7 Long.?
well um watch the us open and watch nadal and aguassiHow can I find out when and what TV channels to watch tennis events?
The absolute best way to pick it up is to just play. I started playing about a year ago when my friend suggested we play with her. She is really good, playing for about 10 years- so my friend and I naturally got our asses handed to us. Learning the game is pretty quick, I would just google it and you can pick up the basic jist of the game.I would advise you to just find someone around school or a friend who plays/played and just hit the courts.
