What inspired Helen Wills to play tennis in the 1920's?
The higher the number the tighter the strings are put into your racket (strung) and the more control you get . The lower the number the strings are looser your strings are strung at and you get a bit more power. They put the numbers on the side of your racket because that is the recommended tension for your particular racket somewhere in that range. In theory if you go higher say the recommended tension for your racket can crack. If it says 60 as the to and you string it at 70 for even more control you may put more stress on the racket then it can handle. It's the recommended Tension for the Racquet but you can go beyond that
I need tennis t-shirt phrases. Any Ideas?
tension means the taughtness, or how tight they pull the strings. 50-60lbs is the range from minimum to maximum tension that the racquet can take.More Questions & Answers...
