What is the absolute minimum number of times you would need to hit the ball to win a five set match?
If I were you, I would be looking for a compromise and start looking at the 95 to 100 square inch rackets. You can get plenty of spin with smaller head size rackets, its just that your overall timing and point of contact needs to be a little better to acheive the same result. Also a smaller headsize will likely make the racket more manuverable at net and provide a little extra pop on your first serves. Once you go down to a midsize / midplus size frame you are likely not going back to an oversize. However at first you probably will not like it, but after about 3 weeks of playing with a midplus you enjoy the precise feel it gives you. That is why over 90% of professional men players don't use oversize frames. If you questions or are wanting an opinion on frames or strings, send me an email. Will i be a lawn tennis champ?
Its very excellent pick up of the game by u in only 6 months. If u play western i dont think u need those classicle racquets any more.
But ya,many people who started off with smaller heads, report that their accuracy is better with oversize.
Just stick to whatever racquet u are playing with, and from now try to focus on those technics that make a shot as a complete tecnical shot. That is,see if u are twisting back enough before taking the forehand, and in each shot ,ur full body mucsles are contributing or not and all should b in rythem.
What should I do... (tennis question)?
I would definately go with a Babolat Pure Drive, or a Head Flexpoint Radical. Both are decent weight, and good head size (not too small, not too big). They are relatively inexpensive racquets and very good.
