What year was the twin span bridge built and bye who?
maybe you're trying to hit it in an up-down action. You should try to hit through the ball, rather than down on it. I used to also have a problem with my backhand. The most important thing is to know which shot to hit a slice off (shot selection). Yous should not hit a slice on a ball that bounces up over waist height. If at first you do not succeed, try, try again. Practice Practice Practice.First year of Tennis and want to make the tennis team...Help?!?
you hold your racket in a continental grip. you hit the ball, but do not flick your wrist, do not follow through, just hit it and do a smile follow though straight out. So hit, dip your racket a bit and finish with your arms straight to your side. You may be trying to hit the slice by bringing your racket straight down. This probably won't work till you've been using your slice for a while. The best way to do it is to strike with your racket at a 45 degree angle open, and do the opposite of what you would to hitting a topspin ball. Brush under and through the ball to create backspin.
Is attending a professional tennis tournament as fun as it sounds?
Carving it like Federer does only works if you have skill and the ball is coming at you with pace. Usually you don't even want to use this shot. Why slice when you can hit a regular backhand with more pace? If the problem is that your backhand isn't good enough, then you should be focusing your attention on improving your backhand, not your slice. The slice is only a last resort if the ball is coming too fast or if you're not in position, or it can be used as an approach shot.More Questions & Answers...
