Now that FedEx's out, who do you think will win Indian Wells Open??

Question:I think the favorites are Tommy Haas, Gonzalez, Roddick, Murray and Rafa. What do you think??

In the women's category, I will put Petrova, Hingis and Jankovic ahead of Sharapova. Your picks??

Answers:

Josh Hartnett and Rafael Nadal?

well, in the mens I can only narrow it down to 7. djokovic, roddick, gasquet, haas, murray, canas, and moya. I honestly don't think Nadal or Gonzales can win, gonzales has really gone off the boil, and Nadal looks like going most, but not all of the way.

In the womens I'll say Sharapova, Jankovic, Ivanovic, Petrova, or Peer. I just think Hingis can't handle the power.

I have to say though Davydenko is no chance to win. he just grinds, does nothing to win. although I would expect him to make at lear the quarters, but not win the tournament.

Which Australian tennis players were known collectively as the Woodies?

In men's category, I'd pick F. Gonzalez or Andy Murray.
Women's, Sharapova of course. She's not only great, she's very nice and friendly and always smiling and so pretty. By face value alone, she should win.

Petrova is good and so is Jankovic but in the looks department these two are losers, so they will not win.

Is Canas the real deal?

Gonzalez & Hingis

I have been adament about people not expecting too much from Nadal on hard courts, but he has no excuse not to make the semi-finals and give the title a good shove now. Not only is Federer out, which opens up the draw for everyone, but four of the most dangerous players from his quarter of the draw have fallen. They are [16] Youzhny, [11] Berdych, [17] Baghdatis, and [7] Robredo. His biggest threat in his quarter would probably be [22] Ferrero who is trying to find his past success and isn't too strong on hard courts himself anyway. Nadal should now be a favourite for the title.

The next best bet would be [13] Murray. He is an extremely exciting rising star who has, already this year, won San Jose, been a finalist in Doha, and been a semi-finalist in Memphis. He regularly defeats top players, including Federer in last years' Cincinatti masters, and should be a top 5 player by the end of the year, if he continues to live up to potential.

[3] Roddick gets alot of criticizism, mainly because he is a 2-dimensional player, but he always gets great results. The draw hasn't opened up too much for him yet, like it has for other seeds, but hard court tournaments in the US are ones which he is as dangerous as ever.

[4] Davydenko, [9] Haas, [6] Blake, and [8] Ljubicic show that their are plenty of possible winners, and also shows how brilliant the draw still is. Watch out for the progress of [10] Nalbandian, he hasn't done much in the last 10 months and is coming off a disappointing Buenos Aires tournament last week. He doesn't seem to play as many tournaments as the rest of the top seeds and is starting to slip.

Womens: Sharapova

What is fleshing meadows ?

I think that one of the Americans could (unfortunately) win, Roddick or Blake. Djokovic has a shot aswell as Nadal, but I very much doubt Rafa will pull it through - too many guys know how to beat him.

On the womens side, I'm going to go with Hingis...

I want to quit tennis?

hmmm... without federer, hewitt, and now that james blake just lost im pulling for rafa, andy murray, andy roddick, or fernando gonzalez. for the women's side i'll take hingis or sharapova easily.
