Junior ranking to play tennis in college/professionally?

what do you think would be a good state/national ranking if I wanted to play varsity tennis in college, maybe get a scholarship, or to do well in pro tourneys

RAFA!! Simply the best?

Good question. I've looked into this as I was hoping to get a scholarship into college.
Its pretty tough.

Good state ranking...I'd say Top 5 if you wanted a scholarship into Div 1 or 2. School recruiting would start around Top 30-50 kids.
Nationally, top 15 would be reasonable for scholarships. Recruiting, I'd say Top 50-100.
Mind you, only Div 1, and Div 2 college has scholarship programs. Division 3 programs normally don't have the budget to give scholarships.

Pro tourneys? I'd say Top 15 in your college divsion, you'd do OK.

Pro tennis is NOT an easy sport to do well in. Not to kill your enthusiasm, if you work hard getting better in college, you definitely have a shot at pros. Get to college first though. =)

Good luck!

What kind of racquet do u use?

Just be in the top 10 in your state and play your best tennis during big points and you'll get a scholarship. Schools get you because of your potential to be a great tennis player.Great tennis players play well, are ranked pretty high and are willing to learn.
