Would he be this dominant in any other era? He would very dominant but probably not quite this dominant. He can hit all the shots, play up or back, is very competitive and has great athletic ability. That translates well to any era. However against, Laver, Connors, Borg, MacEnroe, Lendle, Becker, Agassi and Sampras using the same equipment and with the same training techniques, travel conditions and conditions of the time he would probably be about 50-50 against those great players which would cut down the number of tournaments and Grand Slams he could win. Right now he doesn't have many that can really challenge him except Nadal on clay but even against Nadal on clay I still give him a good chance.Could a man get away with playing on the woman's tennis tour?

Federer is the greatest ever and not only will he dominate this tough era but the other previous era as well. Tennis players today are getting stronger and faster (Andy 150mph serve)&(Nadal speed). However, Federer is very consistent with his beautiful backhand and his strong forehand. I would not think any other players could handle him. He will gets 20 Grand Slam titles or more by the age of 30.Where did the term of a "tree" or "treeing" for lucky shots in tennis come from?
