Sampras only won 4 consecutive Wimbledons not 7 as someone stated before (7 total), as far as Borg's place as on of the best is cemented by the fact that on the mens side he is the last to win both the french and wimbledon back to back. The contrast in surfaces make this an extremely difficult task.

Bjorn Borg was and still is my hero. I don't know who beat his french open record, but Pete Sampras beat his Wimbledon's record...Sampras won 7 Wimbledon title in a row...I think...

Borg was my hero as well. Not only one of the best (if not THE best) to ever play the game. Although he may not have shown a whole lot of emotion on the court, his forehand exposed all you needed to know. It was our loss that he retired too early.
