I have a hopper full of used and flat tennis balls but I really want to practice my serves what should I do?
What I am wondering is first of all if flat tennis balls would affect my serve in any way. And second of all I am wondering if the balls will actually improve my serving with newer tennis balls. By the way most of the ball are from the winter before last winter. If you could help I would strongly appreciate it.

personally, i would buy new tennis balls, because when you first start a "game" you open a new can of balls... so you probably need to practice with new ones .. but, on the other hand, older balls can help you with placing the ball and keeping it under control.. and your serve i would use both and see what works best for you.:) have fun.
