Why are they still showing football when tennis should be up?
Not a chance, Nadal has his number when it comes to clay courts. What are some good tennis drill for coaching high school tennis?
nadalDo you think andy roddick will pass nadal for the # 2 ranking by the end of the year?
I am saying that Nadal will win. Federer cannot play well on clay courts.Which is better, asphalt or concrete tennis court?
and so is mine.i think and hope its gonna be nadal.he may be just another good player on other surfaces but on clay he is the king.i think he now has about 75 straight wins on clay.he is just too good.
federer is just seeming kind of weird these days.he lost to a qualifier but that guy must be real good to first defeat gasquet and then federer.god knows wats up with him but he is losing to people we dont expect he would lose to(canas, volandri).but i feel he may be back in form in the french open.but fact is,when he exits early it gets a more tough competition in finals(excepy clay where nadal dominates)
its very obvious!!!!
it is going to be nadal..
federrer is going to go to the hell
Do tennis linespeople and umpires play tennis in their free time?
I know I sound like a broken record but... Nadal will win the French. He is just too good on clay.I feel however, that people get the misconception that Federer is slipping. Need I remind everyone that Federer is like this year after year? He doesn't put his mind too much in to the smaller tournaments and then really makes a showing in the Slams. Though he might lose some matches, take a closer look at his expressions. Does he really look like he is trying? The answer is no. Federer is known for not focusing on the smaller matches and even known to throw them. For instance, last year he threw a U.S. Open warm-up tournament match to Murray just so that he could have a mental/physical rest before the open. I remember everyone saying that he was off and that his reign as the champion was faultering. But look at what he did! He won the entire thing (defeating most opponents without dropping a set).
So, when you look at the results, it may look like Federer is losing his edge, but, if you really watch him play, you would notice that he is very very uncomfortable on clay and that his only downfall is the awkward footwork that clay requires. His fundamentals remain completely sound and, when he hits the surfaces that are easier to hold footing on, he will continue to dominate. As for his loses to that argentine, I think that Federer just took an early round match too lightly against a player that he supposed was rusty. The next time Canas played him, Federer had been bombarded by the media bothering him about losing to an unknown. Just imagine being an amazing player and losing one match then having tons of people questioning your abilities. I imagine it would really begin to get to a guy.
Main point: You just wait Federer shines under pressure.
