Answers:
if the score is 40 - 40 it`s called ~~ deuce ~~
if one of the players makes a point it`s called advantage for that player. if he wins another point after he has an advantage he wins the game.
a set usually ends when a player reaches 6 sets. There are exception, though.
If the score is 5-6 (sets) if the player that has 6 wins another game the score will be 5-7 and the set finishes . If not, the score will be 6-6 and there sill be a tie break . The tie break usually ends at 7 (the players serve 2 balls and then they switch services; after every 6 point they switch courts). if the tie break score is 6-6 it continues until there is a 2 point difference between the players.
Usual games have 2 out of 3 ... that means that the player who wins 2 sets out of 3 wins. Finals and semifinals usually have 3 out of 5 sets.
if the score is 2-2 (sets) and it is played 2 out of 3 the last set continues until there is a difference of 2 sets betwwen them. the same thing happens for 3-3 at 3 out of 5.
pretty complicated rules :P
What female tennis player won French Open in 1999?
A point in tennis is called a point. the scoring goes LOVE 15 30 40 then you when a game. winning six games is a set. winning 2 sets is a match.I have a 1 handed backhand. it's not consistent, how can i get it better?
o = love1 point = 15
2 points = 30
3 points = 40
40-40 = deuce
the next point is game.
6 games = 1 set
2 sets = match, winner!!!
Unless of course you score using advantage in and advantage out. When scoring with ad, the point after 40 gives you ad-in. The next point gives you the set. If you lose this point, it's ad-out, and you need to get ad-in again and another point to win. Takes longer to win but still fun.
