FOREHAND TOPSPIN:
hit from low to high, you need to swing fast, and change your grip. do not open ir, more to a horizontal position . speed your swing to put more topsin.

I've been playing tennis for 7 years now...I am now a senior in high school. My coach always tells us to flick the wrist. Be sure you do your swings in full motion. If you're just starting out doing topspins, power should not be in your mind right now. You just need to get the basic topspin down before you try to hit the ball with it too hard. This will cause it to go out, you will be upset, it will get boring, and you will stop practicing topspins. How do I know? My best friend quit tennis last semester just because of the same problem. SO: The big key is to flick your wrist and DON'T OVER POWER YOUR SHOTS until you can get the basics down. Good luck and God bless!

How did the scoring for tennis originate?

Topspin causes the ball to dip downward. It allows a player to hit the ball over the net with a bigger margin for error because a ball hit with topspin will hit the court closer to the net than a ball hit with no spin.

So you can hit the ball higher over the net and harder that a flat shot, and still have the ball land in the court.

You hit topspin by having the racket travel in an upwards motion as you are making contact.

Another spin is side spin. This is most effective when serving. (either slice or kick) For example, if your opponent is right handed, sidespin on a lefty slice serve is particularly nasty, because it skids and bounces away from the returner and the center of the court. Both McEnroe and Navratilova used this serve to great effect. A right handed kick serve has the same effect on the ad court side, it bounces up and away from a right-handed returner's backhand.

Start low and end high, have the face about perpendicular to the ground. Then follow through starting LOW and ending HIGH

Who will win this years us open?

the correct way is to turn your raquet clockwise but i'm a lefty, but usually what peole do is when they swing they push and raise their raquet so it creats the spin effect, good luck ;)
