How do I know what size to buy for a replacement butt cap? It says on the bottom of my old one 4 and 4 1/2.?
i have another raquet that is the same size butt cap and on the bottom it says both 4 and 4 1/2. I want this one: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpage... the sizes come in between 1/8 and 5/8. see the website for the one i want for clarification. thanks!!

If your old butt cap has either a 4 or says 4 1/2 (or both), go ahead & replace it with the "1/2". People get confused because some racquet's don't list a 4 1/2 or 4 3/8 on the butt cap. They will just put a "4" or a "3" instead. Anytime you see this, the easiest way to understand the size is to put a "/8" under the number. For instance, if the racquet has a "5" on the buttcap; that means that it's a 4 5/8 grip size. If it's a "4" then it's a 4 1/2 (4/8). So in your case both "4" & "4 1/2" are the same size grip. You have a 4 1/2 grip. The 4 is the European equivalent to 4 1/2.(1= 4 1/8; 2=4 1/4; 3=4 3/8; 4= 4 1/2; 5=4 5/8)
Just make sure to order a butt cap for your brand of racket. Not all 4 1/2 butt caps will fit your handle the same.
