Even though it seems stupid, looking and straightening your strings will help you from looking around and losing focus--it helps the pros, so it can probably help you.
If you are up and all of a sudden your opponent gets a game, don't freak. Sometimes that happens. DON'T RUSH --especially your serve--Stay calm and focus on getting the next game--remember you're the one in the lead, the pressure heavier on your opponent's side.
Making patterns helps you keep focused also... Patterns such as bouncing the ball three times before you play... It keeps you from rushing your serve after you lose focus or get angy.
And throwing rackets is not cool. Plus, its one of the best recipies to give confidence to your opponent and get you out of the game. STAY POSITIVE
No matter how nice that girls rack is, wait till break, then give em a quick squeeze and get back to work
Seriously just keep your head in the game
Work on your serve. The serve game is your money in the bank. Usually at your level the winner is the one who makes the least mistakes. Don't get cute on the return game, make them earn every point. One game at a time.

Concentration seems to be your problem. I imagine that once you're ahead you either convince yourself that there is no way the opponent can come back or you flat out tighten up. Keeping your head in the game is key. Convince yourself that you want to win every point. When your getting ready to serve, don't think about the next game or the score of the match, think about where the tennis ball is going to end up. Visualize your next shot and how your opponent is reacting. If your head is not in the game, your going to hit stupid shots and 9 out of 10 times lose the match. However, I have to say never throw or break your raquet..it's disrespectful to the person you're playing with.Who is the heaviest male tennis player of the ATP tour?
