Tennis. what do you like about it the most?

I like not relying on some other people to win or lose. I like that It's just me against an opponent and who ever plays smarter (smarter <- key word) wins the match. You need a strategy, you need to think and your game and strategy can change from point to point and from stroke to stroke, unlike other sports where you can just attack and win, but in tennis if you have no plan and modify your game accordingly you are simply not going to win. It's a bit like chess. It's about thinking, positioning, and once you prepared to attack in a rally (setting up the pieces) you go for the point.
I like that it is not an easy sport in some ways. It is challenging and requires consistency, dedication and discipline to be good at it.
Then you can also consider that it can be a good social sport, for all ages. It is very good for your mind and health and staying in shape.
Downside -> Can be quite expensive for more intermediate to advanced players with all the equipment you gotta get, coz as we all know 1 or 2 rackets are not enough, and the constant breaking of string, replacing grips, new balls, etc... plus tennis bags and stuff do make us spend quite a bit. And there's also the fact that unlike other sports, Tennis has to be played in a proper place (court) and if the court is not in proper shape in can get frustrating even in social/friendly games.
Do you think I can make it to Wimbledon?
well when I first heard of it I played a couple games and because I sucked I absolutly hated it. but just about a year ago my mom made me take lessons and one year later here I am, it's my favorite sport. I'm not quite "good" yet, but I won the national junior teen tennis award just two months ago. I love this sport, and I hope you do to.When is Andre Agassi going to play his next match?
i love not really being on a team but being able to attle with yourself for your mistakes not your teammates.i also love the competivness of the sport it just make me very happy to be able to play itFor a high school tennis player, which shot would be more important, a mean dropshot or a nice lob?
The action.Every second of the game keeps u engaged unlike football and cricket.You are very busy keeping track of the ball and the players that you have nothing else to focus on.And every point is unpredictable.The rallies come in as a bonus and also the war of words!!It's one-on-one competition. It's up to you to win the match since no coaching is allowed once the match starts.

i think the one thing i like most is that its a alone sport and even so, its filled with respectable players. whether you're playing high level tennis or simple tennis, its always more respectable than other sports. there is no fighting because the anger can only be put on the ball, and too much of it will tend to make the ball fly out. this makes it so that you have to turn into a respectable player because physical agression will not help like it does in Bball or hockey.the other thing is that its a singles sport. its all about yourself and believing in yourself. there will be no one who will come and help you out. this creates more of a challenge, physically and mentally.
also one of the aspects i like is that without teammates, its a much more pleasant game. whenever i play games like volleyball or Bball, i always like to try something new. a new trick. however, i never get to because whenever i try, i always mess up the first time. then everyone gets angry and i am never allowed to try it again. who knows, maybe i could become the best spiker, but i wont if i dont get to try. in tennis, i get to try whatever i want becuase i will suffer the consequences following. then i get more experience out of the good and the bad i did.
