I'm a nationally certified Tennis Instructor and former Top 20 tennis player in New England. To hit a topspin serve, do the following:
1. Toss the ball near your opposite shoulder, slightly behind you.
2. Using the backhand grip, snap your wrist and racquet head upwards, meeting the ball while it is slightly lower than usual, with the length of your racquet parallel to the ground.
3. Brush the back of the ball upwards in the same way you'd put topspin on a groundstroke.
4. To impart the most topspin, arch your back just before you meet the ball.
Is it good to be tall in tennis?
When you hit the ball, bring your racquet up as you are hitting it.Does that make sense?
If you hit it on an upstroke, you can get it to topspin.
You can listen to them if you want, but let me give you some sound advice:
As a professional source on topspin and backspin, I don't advise you to use the topspin serve in tennis. Even if you manage to serve it with top spin, it is a poor and weak serve. Don't expect to get a lot of power/speed from that serve.
I suggest you TRY and master the slice serve and your speed serve. Imagine the possibility of mixing these two types of serves in a game. It'll throw your opponent off greatly!

What male tennis player won Australian Open in 1992?
Slash the ball with racket inclined at about 33 degress to straight line plane and then before sending it off dip rac by 5 degrees in opposite directionToss farther and lower to the side then normal change your grip to continental and hit the ball with a slicing action. I love doing this serve because it lands then bounces in crazy directions.
