In doubles, is it smart to put together you best players and leave your weak ones.?
I am in college, and my coach put me as coach for a Mayor turnament, but I don't know who to put with who! is it smart to put two of your best tennis players together and the (not so good ones) together, or is it smarter to spread the "POWER" ? help!

I believe the doubles scoring for the over all tournament is worth twice what the singles are. Put the best together with respect to the chemistry. I think you should speard it so they may even out amoung each other.If you put the(not so good ones) on the same team they will screw up, but if you get someone who can play with a( not so good one)then the good player can most likley catch the screw ups of the bad player...How many people here watch tennis if so every tournamesnt? One of the most important components in a good doubles team is chemistry. If the two best players work well together, then let them dominate. well it depends, in high school, there is a list like #1 doubles #2 doubles and so on and our #1 would play the other schools #1 and same with the others so in that case you should put the best playeres at #1 together but if its like a tourment for fun i would suggest to speard it out more. but make sure you have a ok player with a good play not an bad player with a good player because then the good player might get fisturatedMore Questions & Answers...
