Although she might make it into the top 10 simply by playing a full tournament schedule, to assure herself that she is competitive of the current top players, she needs to make some adjustments in technique, fitness, and strategy.First, the technique--both first and second serves need to be improved. Her second serve especially is a liability because the hard hitters can pin her deep with their returns, and Hingis is immediately in a losing defensive position.
Second, because she is being pushed around by the hard hitters and is getting few easy points, she needs to be fitter than her opponents.
Third, in terms of strategy, she will have to find a way to push her opponents out of position. This can be done by hitting harder groundstrokes, or by coming into the net when feasible. Hitting harder leads to more errors; coming in leads to being passed more often. However, I can't see her surviving if she doesn't come up with a way to keep the hard-hitters off balance.
She is the only player in women's tennis with such a complete game along with a keen tennis mind, so I am sure that she will determine the best way to beat the hard-hitters.
